Canova Beach

About

Apart from that, it's a nice fast wave which is good fun. It often attracts impressive surfers so prepared to be amazed when there's a storm.

Atmosphere:
Watch out the for the locals though, turn a blind eye to drop ins if you don't want a slap. It's like a surfer's ghetto here so just be careful.

Additional Info:
Start paddling out early if it's high tide, coz you might well cut your feet on the rocks or fall down the steep shelf. It's quite a steep wave so angled take-offs are useful.

I stayed in St.cloud for a holiday, so i drove to Canova from there. Head for Melbourne Beach. When you see signs for Melbourne, look out for a rocky car park with what looks like the start of a pier. Here's where to park and quickly check the surf.
