Great spot
Atmosphere:
Never crowded because of famous dutch surfspot wijk aan zee closeby. Friendly people who are very interested in surfers because it is not very common in Holland, wind- and kitesurfers are!
Additional Info:
Winters in Holland rules, but the water in freezing. Details for Castricum: With Southwest swell(always with hard wind) go with lowtide. It is fast, hollow and fun. Best is absolutely Northwest swell generated by a big depression between Iceland and Norway. Big lines just like France.
