I have only caught this spot once or twice but am soon going to try and get their more often.

Atmosphere:
Water is super clear and you can see the bottom... Water is cold so full suit in the 3/4 or thicker and booties. The train is fairly easy to get down to the beach and the lot is paved. Lock you car as there are a lot of homeless and hippies in Fort Bragg and Mendo.

Additional Info:
If the tide is up you surf right in the protected cove and it keeps the wind off of it. IF the tide is out you paddle out and take off out of the cove behind the rocks. You can't see the beach from the HWY except when you go across Jug Handle Bridge and then it is a glimpse. Water is super clear and you can see the bottom... From Hwy 20 Go south out of Fort Bragg on Hwy 1 to Jug Handle beach parking on the west side of Highway. North on Hwy 1 if coming from CA 128. Park in the lot and take the trial to the beach.
