I was there last nov and i had the whole beach break to myself on numerious occasions .plus kitchen windows..the best time is june,july winter season big waves twice the size in summer.

If you're looking at the beach from Island Vibe backpackers, it's just off to the left past Phantoms. it is very easy to get to.the town is not very big so there is alot of parking.can get quite busy in the tourist season(mid dec to mid feb)but when the season is about to start up is the best time to go.
