Ocean Beach

About

The waves doesn´t get any better, the water is so clear that you can see to the bottom. Deffinetly worth a try. The scenery is awesome with mountains dropping straight into the ocean around you.

Atmosphere:
Despite the crowds it´s got a really nice atmosphere if you respect the locals they´ll treat you good and let you have a share of the waves. The spot picks up the smallest swell so it´s a good option if nothing else works.

Additional Info:
As with most north east spots, Ocean beach tends to be most consistent during summer months (Dec -Apr) when pacific tropical lows send swell south thats hits the NE facing coast.
Sand banks are inconsistent and can range from terrible to world class depending on rainfall etc. Low to mid tide tends to produce the best waves with south to west winds being offshore.
Free camping in the 2 carparks provided, bring your own food water and grog etc. As good as it gets scenery, water quality and locals.
