Raft Cove

Edit Spot
About

A remote spot that only works some times, in the time it takes to get out there you could be halfway to Tofino.

Atmosphere:
if you want a taste of the real, harsh, gnarled and wild west coast of canada then get some of this, But come prepared. If you get into trouble out there you are on your own, There is no cell service, no coast guard floating just off shore, The nearest phone is 2 hours away.

Additional Info:
Park your car at the small provincial park lot and walk in about 30 mins. be ready to camp. best waves usually on rising tide, both right and left. been there a couple of times when its good, no idea how consistent it is though. still a fun wave even when small. best waves on north beach where they build off a rock headland, However this is also where the river flows out causing a very strong rip.

Drive to the north end of vancouver island and take the turnoff for Holberg. The turnoff is near the town Port Hardy. Drive past Holberg on logging roads(gas up there) and follow the signs till you reach the provincial park gravel parking lot. Bring backpack, camp and cook gear, and rain gear and tarps cuz it can get wet. It can be a demanding hike(>30 min) through the gnarliest west coast forest ever.
