Ok it's a very very special spot, but when you're really lookig for waves you know that you can find some there.

You need a boat to get to Redfish Island which is located in the Houston Ship Channel. The key to this fun spot is to watch the shipping schedules. When a large ship comes in, paddle out and get a nice 6 footer. Doesn't matter which side of the island you're on, as long as the ship passes nearby. Fun for those flat Texas summers!
Redfish Island was recently restored and is back in business!
