Stalida Beach

Don´t expect too much surf on Crete and you are going to have a good time! Mostly you have to have some fun as well with surfing baby-waves, whilest some holiday guests are standing arround in shallow water.
Surf on Crete is depending basically only on the present wind condition. Choppy with northern wind directions and it is getting cleaner the more western the wind turns.
Take a big board and don´t forget to smile, it´s a fun sport!

About 30km east of the capitol Iraklion. Take the motorway direction east until "the end" in Stalis/Malia. Go down to the traffic lights at the coast road (old road). Cross the road straight (more right-left combination) to the beach promenade and then left for about 1km. The small beach is in front of the hotels "Blue Sea" and "Eleni Beach".
