Tidle Pool

Edit Spot
About

Quite a lekker spot the locals surf. This wave gets quite heavy as it offloads a direct raw swell over a sea-urchin infested reef. It get's really good with medium sized swell on pushing tide. Try for early morning winter swell. Your feet WILL get shredded.

You can time the set for an easy paddle by rockhopping onto the furthermost rock after walking down the tidle pool wall.

Don't try to paddle in during big swell, there's a strong rip that will wash you out far to the left of the break.
It gets quite heavy on big swell during low tide as it breaks way back on another reef and then offloads on the closer reef so a lot of paddle is involved but easy to jump in during high tide.

This wave get's really good.
