Tongo Reef
Edit SpotAbout
On a good day I have seen people take 300 meters long waves. Perfect and exausting but FUN, very FUN.
Atmosphere:
In the first/last months of the year the water is very hot. The swell is regular and the waves break around 3 meters. It's one wave with 3 take-off points, called by the locals "Pico" (the bigger one), "Medio" and "Bajito" (the small one at the end).
Additional Info:
With "Carola" and "Loberia", "Tongo Reef" is one of the best waves in Ecuador. These three waves are more than enough for a trip to Galapagos.
