Under the Bridge

About

Wish I had some one to share it with, I remember it was a sunny day in January with a N wind and sizeable North east swell, mid incoming tide, not a soul in sight. . .

Atmosphere:
I parked in sea isle walked and walked around the bend to the break. It was a super fun ledgey waist-chest high barreling left. I had a makeable barrel section on 3/4 of the waves. Most waves were too fast and steep for top to bottom work, it was race it and get barreled. The swells that make it past the shoals in the inlet come out of the channel and break on a sand ledge in perfect form, from the jetty to the bridge, at least when I was there. Since your pretty much surfing in the inlet watch the tides, the currents get strong. My session ended when the tide was ripping in too fast towards the bridge. It was a good 45 mins, not sure how often it happens. I'm sure the locals know all about it.

Additional Info:
I live in Mantolokig but like to explore other breaks New Jersey has to offer. When going over the ocean drive bridge from avalon to sea isle i noticed a well formed left breaking from the last jetty in sea isle rounding the bend in the inlet channel and ending under the ocean drive bridge, no one was out. . .
