Enchanting place.
Atmosphere:
Gorgeous nature park with hiking trails encompassing a salt water lagoon, waterfall, waterfowl watching heaven, Garry Oak/Fir/Arbutus plant community, spring wildflowers, huge sand beach. No dogs allowed on the beach in the summertime.

Drive to Metchosin, west of Victoria. Look for Witty Beach Road on the ocean side of Metchosin Road. Drive down and find a parking spot; stairs to beach are at the end of the road. Short walk carrying a surfboard. Crammed with cars in the summertime; be early to get a spot.
