Guernsey - L'Ancresse Pembroke

Edit Spot
About

L'ancresse is the best beachbreak in Guernsey, although its the most inconsistent, when the swell gets in its always good, whether its offshore or onshore. Only goes during the colder months when the stormy swells close out the west coast or are too northerly for anywhere else.

Peaks line up when its clean, and theres usually an ok wave when its strong onshore. It goes on all tides but high tide going down is usually best.

Atmosphere:
Really fun wave, Pembroke is less consistent than L'ancresse but has a good right hander in the west corner of the bay, which will only go if the swell direction is right. L'ancresse beach has a couple of peaks but the rights are always better, even when its small it still has a good wall on it.

Theres an outcrop of rocks on the east side of L'ancresse which has a right off it, which joins up with the more inside peak on the beach, fun takeoff with plenty of boiling rocks to dodge.

Additional Info:
Just park in the main car-parks, they both overlook the whole stretch of beach, the two spots are seperated by rock outlets.
