Playa guanico

Edit Spot

great consistant spot with a lot of potential, all day surf if wanted, gets epic with bigger swells

Additional Info:
in front is the beach break with numerous peaks that work at all tides, far right there is a point break which fires a sucky wave when all else is too big best at a lower tide though!
carry on up the beach to the left and you will find at mid to high tides, multiple reef breaks which give a real punchy feel, here the beach becomes a lot prettier. in front of the guanico beach break is now a surfcamp with nice rooms and a dorm
there are other breaks i was told about but youd have to find them for yourself!
its a cool place beacause playa venao, cambutal and guanico is all quite close to each other so its a good place to be when there are waves.
check it out

drive to tonosi from las tablas, and head past the police station on your left, continue over the tonosi bridge and past a big restaurant on your left with a thatched roof now continue on the good road for approx 20 mins and you will see a sign with an iguana, take a left and head for the beach you will arrive at a little cantina with a big roof and and a hostel on the beach
