The Cove, Sandy Hook
Edit SpotAbout
I surfed the cove for about 4 years. the break is a nice right. the ride is about 10-35 yards sometimes going as far as 50 or more yards depending on conditions.
Two point breaks:
(1)the cove sandy hook)faces north east -best on south swells and s.winds.
(2) cape may is opposite point break faces south -best on nor easters, for big waves go to jenkensins(on the south side of manasuan inlet)need to check it from the waters edge-you cant see it from the boardwalk. holds any size--some days everythin is chest high and jenks is overhead.

The cove is the third jetty when you enter Sand Hook New Jersey National Park. Park in the parking lot and walk out to the rock Jetty. The swell goes from the rocks all the way to the shore angled to the right.
