Access

Best access is turn east off State Highway 1 about 5kms north of Hikirangi. sealed road approx 16 kms to Whananaki NORTH village. Take gravel drive runs along side river to wharf, best vantage spot, accessible only low to half tide otherwise stuck on wharf till lower tide.
This spot is world class, long left, needs big NE or SE swell with NE-W wind. Rarely breaks but when it does it's amazing, but crowded when swell arrives.
